Getting your salon live on Ligax takes between ten and fifteen minutes. This guide walks through every step, in order, so you know exactly what to expect.
Before You Begin
You will need:
- A device with a web browser (mobile or desktop, either works)
- Your salon name, address, and contact details
- A list of the services you offer with prices and approximate durations
- Your bank account details if you want to accept payments or deposits from day one
No technical skills are required.
Step 1: Create Your Account
Go to ligaxai.com and click Get Started. You will be asked for your email address and a password. Confirm your email, and you are in.
Step 2: Complete Your Salon Profile
The onboarding wizard opens automatically on your first login. The first section covers your salon profile:
- Salon name: appears on your booking page and in all client communications
- Address: shown to clients so they know where to come
- Timezone: used to calculate appointment availability correctly
- Currency: the currency displayed to clients alongside your prices (GBP, USD, EUR, CAD, AUD, ZAR, NGN and more are supported)
- Profile image or logo: optional at this stage, but adds a professional appearance
Click Next when done.
Step 3: Add Your Services
Your service catalogue is what clients browse when they visit your booking page. This is the most important part of your setup.
For each service, add:
- Name: for example, "Box Braids (Medium Length)" or "Silk Press"
- Price: what you charge for this service
- Duration: how long to block out in your calendar
- Description: optional but helps clients understand what is included
You can add services one by one, import them from a CSV spreadsheet, or start from one of the built-in templates covering common salon and braiding service types. Add-ons (extras that clients can attach to a service at the time of booking, such as beads, colour work, or extensions) can be configured within each service with their own pricing.
There is no limit on the number of services you can add.
Step 4: Set Your Business Hours
Configure the days and hours you are available for appointments. You can:
- Set different hours for each day of the week
- Mark specific dates as unavailable for holidays, training days, or personal time
- Set booking buffers (gaps between appointments for preparation, cleaning, or travel)
The system will only show clients times that are genuinely open based on your configuration. No client will ever see an unavailable slot.
Step 5: Configure Payments (Premium)
If you want to collect deposits or full payments at the time of booking, connect your Stripe account from the Payments section of your dashboard. Stripe handles all payment processing securely. Ligax never stores card details.
Once connected, you can:
- Set a deposit amount (fixed amount or a percentage of the service price) that clients must pay to confirm their booking
- Write your cancellation and refund policy, which clients see before they book
- Enable full payment at the time of booking if you prefer
Deposit collection significantly reduces no-shows. Clients who have paid something to hold a slot are far less likely to simply not turn up.
Step 6: Configure Your AI Assistant
Your AI assistant is the chatbot that appears on your booking page and handles client conversations. Every plan, including the free tier, includes one.
From the AI Configuration section of your dashboard:
- Name: give your assistant a name. Some salons name theirs after a person ("Zara", "Maya"), others use a descriptive name ("The Style Desk"). This is what clients see in the chat window.
- Personality: choose from professional, friendly, casual, luxury, or trendy. This sets the tone for every response the assistant gives.
- Greeting: the first message the assistant sends when a client opens the chat.
- Custom instructions: tell the assistant anything specific it should know or say. Your cancellation policy, what clients should bring to their appointment, what add-ons are available for each style, questions to ask before recommending a service, or anything else specific to your salon.
Spend a few minutes on this step. A well-configured assistant handles questions accurately, represents your salon's voice, and converts more conversations into confirmed bookings.
Step 7: Add Your Team (Premium)
If you have multiple stylists, add them from the Team section. Each team member gets their own schedule and a set of assigned services. When a client books, they can request a specific stylist or let the system assign the next available one automatically.
Step 8: Set Up Custom Branding (Premium)
Premium salons can customise the look of their booking page:
- Upload your salon logo
- Set your brand colours
- Choose a custom URL slug (for example, ligaxai.com/your-salon-name)
On the Free plan, your page uses the default Ligax styling with an automatically generated URL.
Step 9: Go Live
Once your profile, services, and hours are in place, your booking page is live. There is no publish button to click. The page becomes available to clients as soon as setup is complete.
Your booking page URL is shown in your dashboard. It follows the format ligaxai.com/[your-slug].
Share it everywhere:
- Add it to your Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook bio
- Send it directly to existing clients over WhatsApp or SMS
- Add it to your Google Business Profile
- Print it on business cards or include it on your receipts
What Your Clients See
When a client visits your booking page, they can:
- Browse your full service catalogue with prices
- Chat with your AI assistant in natural language at any time
- Upload a reference photo of a style they want (Premium: the AI identifies the style and matches it to your services with pricing)
- Select a service, choose add-ons, pick an available time, and confirm their booking
- Pay a deposit if you have enabled it
They receive an email confirmation immediately after booking, and an SMS reminder before their appointment.
After You Go Live
Your dashboard is where you manage everything. The calendar shows all upcoming appointments. You can accept, reschedule, or cancel from there. Your client database builds automatically as bookings come in, storing each client's preferences, history, and notes.
